ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)

How are the Credit points calculated?

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System)
ECTS is an important part of the Bachelor’s degree programmes. A total of 240 ECTS are awarded for these programmes. An ECTS stands for European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System and is a standardized measure of credits.

The ECTS system indicates how much time a student needs on average to successfully complete a course. The student receives 1 ECTS for every 28 hours of self-study, lectures and other study activities. This means that each individual module in the Bachelor’s program awards points based on the expected study load.

Obtaining all 240 ECTS is an important goal during the programme. When a student has obtained this number of ECTS, he or she is awarded the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) title. This title confirms the successful completion of the study and indicates that the student has a solid knowledge and is able to take on complex business challenges.
